California socialite Rebecca Grossman was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison after being found guilty of murdering two young boys, Mark and Jacob Iskander, in a crosswalk in Westlake Village in 2020.
Grossman, co-founder of the Grossman Burn Foundation, was convicted on two counts of second-degree murder, gross vehicular manslaughter, and hit-and-run causing death. The incident occurred when Grossman, reportedly speeding and racing former Dodgers pitcher Scott Erickson, struck the boys while they were crossing the street with their family .The trial revealed that Grossman had been driving at speeds over 70 mph in a 45 mph zone, following a night of drinking with Erickson. Despite attempts by the defense to shift blame to Erickson, who was previously charged with misdemeanor reckless driving, the jury found Grossman responsible. Grossman's sentencing is scheduled for April 10, 2024, where she faces a possible 34 years to life in prison .
